PRIVACY POLICY

1. Data Controller

LocalizaTech SpA (Tax ID: 76.295.941-0), Los Militares 5620, Office 303, Las Condes, Santiago, Chile, is the company responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy, through its application MyFamGPS.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users who use the MyFamGPS mobile application or access our website.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Location Data

• Precise location (GPS): latitude and longitude in real time, only while location sharing is active. Collection continues in the background —even when the app is closed or minimized— for as long as sharing remains on, and stops as soon as you turn it off.
• We do not collect location history. We only store the user's last known position temporarily on our servers.

2.2 Account Data

• Phone number, used exclusively for authentication via OTP (one-time password).
• Username (optional, configurable by the user).

2.3 Technical Data

• FCM device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used to send push notifications.
• Installation identifier, generated locally and not linked to personally identifiable data.
• Crash diagnostic data (Crashlytics), which may include device information and operating system version. It does not include location data or personal information.

3. How We Use Your Data

4. Who We Share Your Data With

• Members of your family group: your real-time location is visible exclusively to the members of the group you belong to.
• No one else has access to your location. We do not sell, transfer, or share location data with third parties, advertisers, or other companies.

Third-party service providers

We use the following third-party services, subject to their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (authentication, push notifications, crash analytics): https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Maps Platform (map rendering): https://policies.google.com/privacy

5. Data Retention

• Last known location: deleted automatically when the user disables sharing or logs out.
• Account data: retained while the account is active. Permanently deleted upon account deletion.
• Diagnostic data: retained for a maximum of 90 days on Firebase servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Rectify incorrect data (username editable from the app).
• Delete your account and all associated data (see section 12 or contact support).
• Withdraw consent at any time by disabling location sharing from the app.
• Data portability upon request.

7. Security

• All communications between the app and our servers use HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely on the device using private app storage.
• We do not store passwords.

8. Sensitive Data

We do not collect or process sensitive information, such as data related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, physical or mental health, or criminal records.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This section applies when you access our website (https://myfamgps.app). The mobile app itself does not use cookies.

When you visit our website, we may collect browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) using first-party cookies for the following purposes:

• Authentication: keep your session active.
• Security: detect suspicious activity.
• Analytics: understand how the site is used to improve it (Firebase Analytics).

We do not use cookies for advertising purposes, nor do we share browsing data with third parties for marketing.

10. Minors

MyFamGPS is not directed at children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us for deletion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify users of significant changes to this policy through the app. The document version number will change and renewed acceptance will be requested.

12. Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated personal data, use the feature within the app:

• Open MyFamGPS → Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account
• If you cannot access the app, contact us at: myfamgps@localizatech.cl

Account deletion is permanent and will be processed within 30 days.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to residents of California, United States, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of personal information we collect: precise geolocation, identifiers (phone number, username, device token, installation identifier) and internet/diagnostic activity (crash data). We collect this information for the purposes described in Section 3.

We do not sell or share your personal information within the meaning of the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16 years of age.

As a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it.
• Delete the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it).
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, use the in-app account deletion feature (Section 12) or contact us at myfamgps@localizatech.cl. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
